Our story
KJ Strength and Performance Gym was established in 2012 by James Higgins in Carrigaline, Cork. Our mission is to get people stronger, fitter and moving better in everyday life weather you’re carrying the shopping bags or playing your sport. We provide top class coaching, programming and also teaching you how to live a healthy lifestyle.
Our gym provides a vast range of services from small group training sessions, powerlifting and youth training to nutrition programmes and injury rehabilitation. We make the sessions and atmosphere something you DON'T want to miss. No matter what goals you have, whether it be weight loss, strength, cardiovascular fitness or simply to make new friends KJ provides the perfect community and environment for it. We put a big focus on each individual: what their goals are, their abilities and how we can improve each individual’s strength and performance.
When you think of a gym, what comes to mind? Running machines, Cross trainers, Dare I say it...boring? intimidating? This is NOT what KJ is about. This is not a come in and do it yourself gym. Everything is led by a coach, sessions are designed to be fun and suit all individuals and you're surrounded by friendly faces.
Here at KJ Strength and Performance, our objective is to help you make lasting changes to your lifestyle choices and craft new habits that will help you excel in all areas of life. KJ is ALL about accountability, let us hold you accountable and you can make real life-long changes with us⠀
